Event Details

The Scottish Jewish community dates back to the 1700s and, despite being small, was for most of that time the largest non-Christian community in the country. It has produced scientists and doctors, judges and MPs, artists and writers – and farmers and foresters, and kilt makers and whisky distillers! The story of this community and how it has maintained its traditions while fully embracing Scottish life is a fascinating one and yet, remarkably, little has been formally recorded of its existence.

A contemporary photography exhibition is now redressing this.
